Wendyfest 2026!

Festival Rules & Important Info Regarding Entry and Access to the Club Grounds:

Well the time is nearly here for our first festival of 2026. Sausage and Cider festival!

Great line up as usual. Well done to all the team for yet again working so hard to make sure we have a fantastic festival year!!

Just a little reminder of some important rules to follow on the day also requirements regarding entry below (number 2), to make sure everyone is safe and enjoys the event. As always keep an eye on our Fackebook page and here on our website for updates.

  1. Main gate will be opened at 2pm. No earlier. Bar in the club and outside bar will be open at 2pm.
  2. Only people with a TICKET for the festival, or a green club MEMBERSHIP card will be allowed through the gate. No ticket or no club membership card, then simply no entry. You cannot pay at the gate. There will be stewards at the gate who will ask for these and also security. On entry you must show your festival ticket and/or membership card. All members of the club will be given a wristband which says club member at the gate once the steward has seen their green card. Then you will proceed to gate entry on festival field where you will be given your event wristband and festival cup in exchange for your festival ticket. Or club members who are not going to the festival will just go inside clubhouse as normal.
  3. Strictly no food or alcoholic drinks or other soft drinks allowed to be brought into the event.
  4. All bags and chairs in covers will be checked at main gate by stewards and security. Any alcohol, food or soft drinks found will be asked to be left outside the main event to collect on leaving. Please do not insult us by bringing your own drinks and food into the event, we pride ourselves on making sure food and drinks are kept at a reasonable price for everyone.
  5. Any children attending the event with a ticket must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult, and due to our licensing rules children must be off the premises by 10:30pm.
  6. First aiders are on site for the event.
  7. Parking is restricted on the day. We have some spaces which are just for staff and the bands/sound and lighting crews etc. These will be cordoned off on the day. All cars on the car park are left completely at owners risk. Donnington Wood Bowling Club takes no responsibility for any loss or damage to vehicles.
  8. Please be respectful to all staff, Wendyfest team, and committee at all times. They are there to serve you and have worked extremely hard over the past few months to get things ready. We practice zero tolerance to any abuse of staff or the DWBC committee, so please respect this.
  9. The club absolutely has a zero tolerance to drugs being brought onto the premises, or used anywhere on site. Anyone found abusing this will be removed from the premises and police informed.
  10. Please enjoy the event and as always safety first.

Thank You for an Amazing Wendyfest 2025!

Well that’s a wrap!! WENDYFEST 2025 is completed. I think it’s safe to say it was a fantastic season enjoyed by all who attended. From the very first festival to the last we tried to make sure you all experienced the very best time. Huge line ups along the way. Some fantastic bands vocalists etc. So so many people to thank far too many individually, but you all know who you are. Much appreciation goes out to all that helped from the sponsors to the ground staff to the volunteers marketing etc etc. Lighting sound crew security. Thank you all for making this happen. So very tired now time for a rest then go again. I’d like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to all the staff and committee who served you well over the past few months. They have all gone above and beyond to be there to give you all the best they could. So proud. Thank you all. Lastly the most important thanks goes to you all. Our lovely friends family and guests that attended the festivals this season. Without you all we wouldn’t have them so much appreciated.
